Time Management

The purpose of scheduling is not to make u a slave of your daily activity, but to free you from the inefficiency and anxiety that is, at least partially, a function of wasted time, inadequate planning, hasty, last minute errands, etc.

Feeling uneasy with the word schedule is normal, how many times did we fight our parents, teacher and bosses about our schedules do’s and don’ts, feeling we were limited by what the clock said. But that’s not the case here.

 

When you make your own daily schedule, you simply draw up the activities you have outlined and planned for the day, and if possible you put an hour for when that is programmed. Remember this doesn’t have to be a very rigid schedule that if you fail to do you’ll be in trouble, just something like a map, to lead the way.

Don’t expect to be easy for starters; I know personally that when I first started scheduling my days it was real hard to keep up, sometimes not being realistic with my time or limitations. But once you get the hang of it you’ll see little by little how rewarding it is.

Looking back at what seemed like a very long and nearly impossible to-do-list in the morning, having it all or almost all done gives you such a sense of relief. However if you didn’t get something done, chill, you know to allot time for it tomorrow or when ever it is convenient.

You also don’t want to go to the other extreme and just because you don’t have a drill sergeant or slave master not do anything. Keep in mind well begun is half done.
